Inspiration : Sekiro

Bleak

This was the first game I had ever made, as a result it is much more basic and simple.

I wanted to create a game inspired by one of my favorite games – Sekiro. 

I assigned each of the button’s actions – Holding the button would move the character forward and attack constantly, releasing the button would create a brief parry, if left unpressed the character moves to safety, but if pressed again would stay in place and start attacking again.

The enemy was the most interesting to create, I enjoyed tinkering with the timings of the attacks to make sure it was challenging while also being fair.

I also created all the art used in the game. I took inspiration from places like Berserk and Dark Souls. I wanted to stick to a greyscale with one stark red shade since I am horrible at art and colors especially. I believe I came up with some nice looking designs and backgrounds. I also wanted to keep the Sun as a constant in all portions of the game.

Potential Improvements – Hit feedback for each hit                                                         by the player
